Town reports results of community cleanup, staff certifications and new public-art plans

Town Manager Orlando reported to the council on April 28 that the town’s March 29 three-phase community cleanup yielded measurable results and strong volunteer participation.
Orlando told council that Jonesville alone saw "somewhere between 300 to 500 pounds of trash removed and about a 175 pounds of recyclables," while Muddy Creek bulk pickup was estimated at "between 15 to 18 tons of bulk items, 3 to 5 tons of bulk metals, ... and 3 tons of yard waste." He also said more than 20 volunteers participated and thanked town staff and local volunteers for their efforts.
Orlando also announced that Lina Fan, the town’s employment manager, "has attained her senior professional in HR" (SPHR) certification, recognizing her credentialing in strategic HR planning. He previewed an upcoming art display outside the council chambers that will showcase art by town staff and immediate family members.
