The Hilton Head Island Town Council on April 28 unanimously approved a resolution accepting three parcels from the Main Street Property Owners Association that town staff identified as remnant properties not transferred in the 2023 acquisition.
Staff described the parcels as adjacent to a drainage channel that runs under William Hilton Parkway and connects to the Jarvis Creek pump station; the parcels were identified by the stormwater team as necessary to fold into the town’s inventory. "They're being donated to the town," staff member Cohen said when asked about payment.
Council voted 7–0 to accept the parcels. Councilmember Bryson noted the donation involves no payment, and staff said the acceptance follows a brief executive-session discussion earlier in the meeting. The acceptance places the parcels under town ownership for management and potential stormwater maintenance.
