Board adopts resolution citing good-cause exception for armed officer staffing under House Bill 3

"House bill 3, section 37, lays out a requirement for there to be an armed security officer present at each of our 44 school campuses," Dr. Anderson said, adding that the administration recommends adopting the resolution while they seek qualified candidates.
Board members discussed coverage patterns (noting 16 elementary campuses lacked full‑time officers but have overlapping coverage); after discussion the board adopted the resolution and claimed the good‑cause exception as outlined (motion passed 4–0).
