"The handbook honestly is just a mishmash of all of our current building handbooks," Beth Ingersoll said, describing how material from multiple schools was merged and how orientation for non-district summer staff will be used to train personnel on those policies. Meeting discussion noted the program is large this year—roughly 1,400 students—and that attendance and device rules are important given compressed timelines for credit-bearing summer courses.
Chair announced Beth accepted a principal position in the Watertown School District; Beth said she values the experience and will remain in the summer‑school role through June 30, after which associate principal Tyler Reed will manage the second session. The board voted to approve the handbook as presented.
