A council member asked whether the consultant’s fee is fixed or variable. The Presenter said the fee is a fixed amount and only expenses (with a not-to-exceed cap) would vary. “No. It’s a fixed fee. The only thing that changes would be the expenses, and there's a not to exceed amount,” the Presenter said.
When asked about a guarantee if a placed manager departs early, the Presenter said the firm recently performed an abbreviated, reduced-cost recruitment after a placed manager left after about 18 months and that the firm would return under similar terms if that were to occur.
