Library board reports 85 children signed up for summer reading; board vacancy noted

At the June 15 meeting, Library Board representative Nick Gunderson told the Common Council that Library Board member Lori Wild has resigned and that the board has a replacement in mind who will be presented to council in July. He reported specific program enrollment: "The Summer Reading Program has 85 kids and 23 adults signed up."
Gunderson also listed planned library events: weekly bingo on Thursdays at 11 a.m. and a family circus day on June 24. The OWLS Director attended the board meeting and reviewed duties of library boards, Gunderson said. Council will consider the board replacement at the July meeting.
