Monroe Fire to add a new rescue truck in December, chief says

The City of Monroe will add a new rescue truck in December, Fire Chief Ron Fowler said, describing it as a technical rescue asset that will replace an older unit.
"We do have a a new rescue truck that's due to arrive in December. That will replace our current rescue truck, and it'll be stationed over at Fire Station 5," Fowler said. He said the vehicle will carry additional, newer equipment and be staffed by a four‑person crew trained for technical rescues, vehicle extrication, high‑angle and confined‑space operations and water rescue.
