Fire Chief Ron Fowler said the department plans to move administrative offices to a Winchester‑area property on Fairly Avenue that offers warehouse space for logistics and equipment.
"Moving to this new building over in the Winchester area there on Fairly Avenue is gonna be a big benefit to us," Fowler said. He described the site as providing a centralized logistics area—storage for medical supplies, rescue tools and other equipment—and said administrative assistants, deputy chiefs and fire marshal staff will work from the new location when renovations are finished. Fowler said renovations will begin after July and the department aims to move in during the first part of the next calendar year.
