David Chumley, chair of the Leprechaun Days committee, told the council the annual festival will run for eight days and includes a returning carnival, three headline bands and a fireworks finale. "We're we're all ready for Leprechaun Days 2026," Chumley said, and listed performances by the Belfast Cowboys, Mason Dixon Line and Viva Knievel.
Staff member Dan Schultz said the city expanded the event budget this year and secured a new fireworks partner, Premier Fireworks, to increase the size of the show. Schultz said the committee has roughly 12 members and has worked with local businesses for sponsorships: "Thanks to all of our sponsors," he said, noting increased engagement from new merchants and the city’s public-safety partners. The presentation included practical details: a no-bag policy for the Midsummer Fair, shuttle service information posted on the event website, and a projected fireworks start time around 10 p.m.
Council members praised the volunteer corps and local-business involvement. "Eight days is a long time to run a community festival, and I think Rosemount shows them how it's done," one council member said, commending the committee’s outreach to new volunteers and sponsors. Organizers asked residents to consult the Leprechaun Days website and social channels for schedules and shuttle details.
