Mayor Stuchel told council the village’s biggest annual event, the Saint Bernard German Luau, will be held Friday, July 31 and Saturday, Aug. 1. He provided a detailed schedule: the keg tapping and blessing begin Friday at 6 p.m., Elder Street Band starts at 5 p.m., Crown Watts performs 7–11 p.m.; Saturday’s parade begins at noon with the vendor market opening at the pavilion outdoor basketball court; the parade route proceeds up Washington, right on Sullivan, right on Delmar, right on Burdis, right on Vine, then back to Washington to Aquatic Center Drive and around the track into the Luau.
The mayor encouraged residents and council members to sign up for the dunk booth and noted additional programming (hula dancers at 1 p.m., dog contest at 1:30 p.m., Sunburners 3–6 p.m., NKG 7–10 p.m.). He thanked staff and volunteers and closed his report by urging the community to line the streets.
