Tax Administrator Helms told council that municipal tax collections for June 2026 were $653,523, a decline of 43.66% — or $506,422 — compared with June 2025. She also reported June refunds of $13,202, delinquent tax collected with capital recovery of $166.81 and delinquent tax collected via the Ohio Attorney General's office of $29,033.92. Year-to-date municipal tax revenues through June 30 were down 3.31%, a decrease of $196,679 from the prior year.
Helms said she recently attended the Ohio Municipal League tax conference and became chair of the Southwest Ohio Tax Administrators Association; she emphasized collaboration with other municipalities and noted the June figures for council's fiscal awareness.
