The Saint Bernard Village Council on July 23 adopted Ordinance 33-20-26, authorizing the mayor to execute a purchase-and-sale agreement with Walter Saint Claire, administrator of the estate of David Saint Claire, for the acquisition of real property at 4616 Vine Street. Clerk read that the ordinance would waive the contractual inspection period, approve the purchase price from municipal funds and declare an emergency.
Councilmember Schultmeyer moved to suspend the second and third readings and Mr. Morton seconded; the motion carried on a roll call of 7 ayes and no nays. After suspension, the council voted to adopt the ordinance by roll call, again recording 7 ayes and no nays. The council recorded the action as an emergency adoption, which permits immediate execution of the purchase authorization. The clerk read the ordinance as “An ordinance authorizing the mayor to execute a purchase and sale agreement with Walter Saint Claire, administrator of the estate of David Saint Claire, for the acquisition of real property located at 4616 Vine Street, waiving the contractual inspection period, approving the purchase price from the appropriate municipal fund, and declaring an emergency.”
Next steps: the ordinance was adopted as read and the mayor is authorized to execute the purchase documentation.
