Chautauqua plans advance: replica pillars, artists, posters set

Commissioners advanced planning for the upcoming Chautauqua event at the March 17 meeting. Two replica pillars representing the original city entrance have been moved to Keith Huff's home for touch-up painting and will be placed at the pavilion entrance during the event. Helen Hersey reported the round-table portion of the Chautauqua will begin at 11:00 a.m., and organizers confirmed Plein Air artists have been contacted and posters and flyers for the event are complete.
Members discussed public-safety and outreach logistics: Jenn Samsell said she will contact CCFRD to arrange a truck and table and will also contact CCSO; Kat Glenn and Jenn Samsell will expand the Commission's social-media reach via Instagram and Facebook. Jenn will update the Commission's photo album and Kat will repost older photos on Facebook to promote the event.
