Councilor Sean moved the authorization and Dan seconded; members discussed funding from the Municipal Transportation Improvement Fund and confirmed there was no need for an additional general‑fund appropriation. The motion carried 5–0 and the council asked the town manager to pursue an August 1 start if possible.
