Board approves stadium enclosures and readies scoreboard, concessions and sound upgrades

Superintendent Jay reported the district has signed off on a new scoreboard that will carry an ad acknowledging a $50,000 donation from Light Curve and new messaging welcoming fans to "Cruiser Country." Jay said a five-speaker sound system will arrive in August and staff are arranging high-voltage electrical service so concessions can accept electronic payments at a new ticket booth and point-of-sale system.
Trustees said three contractor quotes were obtained for the proposed enclosures, with local firms included in the favored bid. The Chair moved to approve the enclosure work; the motion was seconded and the Chair announced the motion carried.
Board discussion also noted ongoing work on playgrounds and the therapy pool, and that staff will bring final construction details and scheduling to future meetings.
