Planning staff previews mobility fee review, carbon neutrality element and beach renovation referendum

William Waters, Director for Community Sustainability, and Principal Planner Annie Greening briefed the Historic Resources Preservation Board on several upcoming planning items. Waters said two July meetings are scheduled (July 9 and 16) and highlighted a Mobility Fee structure review, a Carbon Neutrality Element he described as a state first, and an upcoming Open Space & Recreation meeting. Greening added a beach renovation study is forthcoming and will be the subject of a March referendum; staff said those outcomes will affect Land Development Regulations for the Beach and Casino Zoning District.
No vote was taken on these informational items. Board members were asked to advise staff of availability for July meetings and discussed that City Commission interviews for open CRA Board positions are forthcoming; some HRPB members expressed interest in being considered for interviews.
