Board continues review of multi-part Land Development Regulations amendments to July 9
Summary
The Historic Resources Preservation Board continued consideration of Ordinance 2025-04, a multi-section amendment to Chapter 23 (Land Development Regulations) including housekeeping changes, site-plan and use-permit clarifications, parking reductions, and definitions; staff said the Planning & Zoning Board requested additional information and the HRPB set the item for the July 9 meeting.
Principal Planner Annie Greening summarized Ordinance 2025-04, a proposed set of amendments to multiple sections of Chapter 23 that would clarify use-permit and site-plan processes, revise definitions, adjust parking reductions for mixed-use and affordable housing, and move generator regulations under mechanical equipment for clarity. Greening said the PZ Board requested additional information and that HRPB would not hear the ordinance until August (PZ review ongoing).
Board members asked for clarification about which code changes were substantive versus housekeeping; Director William Waters told the board much of the language is already in code and the revisions are suggested clarifications. Edmund Deveaux moved to continue the item to the July 9 meeting; Edmond LeBlanc seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
