During the public comment portion of the meeting, Mark Kadilowski of Loveland described volunteer recycling work he has done over about four years and offered to share details of a Hamilton County recycling grant (up to $15,000) the city could apply for to add more bins in parks and downtown.
Kadilowski said he has collected "about 1,250,000 items" in his efforts and offered to email grant details to city officials. Mayor Hartman and staff responded that the city already places recycling bins next to trash cans in the loop and receives Hamilton County grant money to support citywide recycling programs.
Council thanked the resident for the information and indicated staff would follow up if additional grant funds or bin placement opportunities were appropriate.
