Mayor Hartman updated council on the downtown 'loop' redevelopment, saying the city had completed a property swap that allows the Sharonville Historical Society to relocate into a house along Cornell Road and that the city will tear down an adjacent old church to enable development at Cornell and Main.
Hartman said the city plans to present concepts to the public within about four weeks and is aiming to begin construction next year with a goal of having the project operational by 2028.
He referenced continuing work with development partners (named in remarks) and said designers were incorporating council and resident feedback. No formal zoning action or funding appropriation was taken at the meeting; the update was a progress report and timeline estimate.
Council asked staff to provide the public rollout when available and to continue coordination with local property owners.
