Andy Meyer appeared at the July 21 Sharonville City Council meeting to introduce himself as the city's new community development director.
"This is my 12th day on the job," Meyer said, noting previous roles at the OKI Regional Council of Governments and nine years as a planner in Liberty Township. He said he holds a master's in community planning and lives in White Oak with his family.
Mayor Hartman and council members welcomed Meyer and said he will coordinate with the planning commission and board of zoning appeals in the coming months. Meyer did not present specific policy proposals at the meeting but noted he is familiar with local projects including the Liberty Way interchange and the Liberty Center development.
Council members said a fuller transition and coordination plan with the department staff will follow; no formal vote was required to introduce Meyer.
