Board approves AgCenter change orders totaling $30,082

The La Salle-Peru Township High School District 120 board voted July 22 to approve six change orders for work on the Eureka Savings Bank AgCenter, with combined listed costs of $30,082.
The president read change order numbers and amounts: CO24 (gas meter concrete pad) $2,000; CO25 (restroom exhaust fan) $1,168; CO26 (gas/solar emergency shutoff) $6,388; CO27 (sprinkler pipe adjustment) $1,162; CO28 (revised flooring) $17,858; and CO29 (fire sprinkler adjustment for the greenhouse) $1,506. The board moved and seconded approval, with trustees recording affirmative votes.
Building & Grounds Committee chair Mister Ferrari told the board the committee met July 14 and recommended the approvals. "We went over, several change orders, total of 6 that will be on our agenda for approval tonight," Ferrari said, and updated trustees that the fire prevention system at the Dolan and auto shop is about 85% complete and that masonry restoration and roof work have been completed. He said stadium lighting and traffic coating of some walkways have been slowed by recent rains but will proceed as weather permits.
The board did not attach additional contingency funding or conditions to the approvals in the public portion of the meeting.
