Board welcomes new superintendent, schedules AgCenter open house

The La Salle-Peru Township High School District 120 board on July 22 welcomed its new superintendent and set an open house and meet-and-greet for Aug. 20 at 5:00 p.m. at the Eureka Savings Bank AgCenter.
Board President opened his president's report by introducing "Dr. Thaisinger" to the board and public and said the event will preview the AgCenter ahead of a planned November grand opening. "We'll have... administrators in multiple positions... there'll be a preview of the AgCenter," the president said. The announcement included a reminder that some cosmetic work remains before the November opening.
New Superintendent Dr. Thaisinger gave brief remarks about his first weeks in the role, saying, "It's been an amazing 22 days. Busy, but amazing." He thanked the board and district office staff for support while he acclimates to the district.
The board provided no formal action tied to the welcome beyond the announcement and scheduling of the open house.
