Paula explained that while DOT reimbursed 50% of eligible project expenses, it reimbursed only 25% of the acquisition cost for the house because DOT retained a 25% right-of-way interest on that parcel. The council approved depositing the full reimbursement into the streets and roads reserve (7-0).
