Utility staff told the council they replaced a stop sign at 5th and Karner, raised a sewer manhole on Karner between 4th and 5th, and were sweeping roads to support planned asphalt work with the county. Staff reported that sewer-improvement work at the lagoon ponds began Aug. 25 and that pool winterization and additional pool repairs will require significant work this winter.
The utility report also documented electrical hookups at residences, tree trimming, meter reading, lead-and-copper sampling efforts, and repair of an old trash truck hydraulic cylinder. No detailed cost estimates or contractor names for the pool work were provided in the minutes.
