Altamont council adopts traffic ordinance and Uniform Public Offense Code

The City of Altamont council adopted two ordinances intended to update local traffic rules and public offense penalties. Councilmember Kyle Wiford moved and Councilmember Lyle Sykes seconded approval of Ordinance 666, the standard traffic ordinance; a roll call vote recorded five yes votes and the ordinance carried.
Councilmember Wiford then moved and Councilmember Sykes seconded approval of Ordinance 667 adopting the Uniform Public Offense Code; the council again recorded roll call votes in favor and adopted the ordinance. Both ordinances were presented as routine updates and passed on recorded roll-call votes.
