The Altamont City Council approved the 2025 Pool Contract with Pool Manager Luke Wolgamott after amending section 11 to revise lifeguard instructor compensation. Councilmember Kyle Wiford moved to approve the contract with the wage changes and Councilmember Lyle Sykes seconded; the motion carried. The changes set lifeguard instructor wages at $15 per hour, with an additional $20 for each new lifeguard certification and $15 for each lifeguard recertification.
City Administrator LeaAnn Myers told the council the city is set up as an American Red Cross training facility. Lifeguard training was scheduled for May 22–23, 2025, and the pool opening was set for Saturday, May 24 at 1:00 PM. Concession supplies were ordered for the season. The minutes do not record dissent or a roll-call vote tally for the contract approval.
