Staff told the council Project Hummingbird has completed required variance approvals, zoning reviews, fire marshal and building official checks and that the development agreement is finalized. The preliminary plat remains unchanged from its original submission and staff described the remaining step as administrative: finalizing GDOT traffic plans and the related escrow account for engineering costs required by the development agreement.
City staff said once traffic plans with GDOT are finalized and the escrow is established for engineering costs, the city will issue the land disturbance permit and site clearing can begin. Council members received the status update and the item was placed on the regular meeting agenda for formal action later that evening.
