The Hogansville City Council on May 19 adopted an ordinance annexing the five-parcel, 20.48-acre Chisel Mill Development on Bass Cross Road into the city. Council Member Mandy Neese moved to adopt the ordinance and Council Member Mark Ayers seconded; the motion carried 4-0.
The annexation brings the property under Hogansville’s jurisdiction, enabling the city to apply local zoning, permitting and infrastructure standards as the project advances. Council Member Michael Taylor was absent from the meeting. The council recorded the vote as 4-0 in favor of the annexation.
Next steps include applying the city’s zoning and permitting process to the site and any developer submittals required by city planning staff. The council did not record further discussion or conditions on the annexation at the May 19 meeting.
