Board members reviewed the district handbooks, including a principal message, updated attendance policy language that follows state guidance, and revised graduation honor thresholds for the graduating class of 2027. The handbook text highlighted that students with an overall numerical grade average of 95 and above will receive highest honors, and those with 92–94.99 will graduate with honors.
The presenter explained the attendance framework (tiered supports and interventions up to intensive supports for chronically absent students) and that the handbook language reflects state requirements. A motion to approve the elementary handbook was made, seconded and adopted. Staff will post the approved handbook on the district website and circulate signature pages for bus and attendance rules.
