The presenter recommended moving to a design phase under a CES hourly agreement so the district could receive an overlay of the footprint and phased plans. “I believe everything that this would cost, we can do it under CES,” the staff presenter said, noting the consultant who built the original pool already has drawings to speed the work.
Board members asked the consultant and staff to prepare an overlay showing the footprint, a phasing plan that avoids long pool closures, and a clearer cost breakdown for construction versus consultant and mechanical changes. The board did not take a formal vote but directed staff to advance design under a scope that would limit operational disruption.
