City reports splash pad repair timeline and confirms Papillion Twilight Criterium return Aug. 9

Miss Powers reported that the main basin of the 1st Street Plaza water feature and splash pad needs a specialized repair due to normal wear and tear and that parts are expected to take "2 to 3 weeks" to arrive before the feature can be returned to service. She said the splash pad and water feature have been barricaded while repairs are arranged.
Powers also announced that the Papillion Twilight Criterium will return to Downtown Papillion on Sunday, Aug. 9, with race categories for multiple ages and skill levels and encouraged residents to register online. Staff additionally briefed the council on several street and utility projects nearing bid solicitation and recent roof repairs at the water treatment plant.
