The Altamont City Council reviewed and approved a modified pole-attachment agreement with Brightspeed at its Sept. 25 meeting, but asked that the effective date be corrected to Sept. 25, 2025. Attorney Robert Myers flagged the inaccurate date and the council approved the agreement with that change following a motion from Councilmember Lyle Sykes and a second from Councilmember Tyler Julich.
The administrator later noted that Brightspeed contacted Attorney Myers saying no additional contract changes were required and was asked to provide a signed copy for the council’s records. The minutes do not include a copy of the signed agreement or specify any compensation, term length, or related franchise conditions.
