Youth leadership council president reviews year of community events, announces college plans

Christine Holder, president of the Mayor's Youth Leadership Council, told the council the group ran the CREATE Youth Leadership Summit this February and hosted community events including a sidewalk chalk festival, the Pavilion Days booth, and a monthly Schramm Road cleanup. "My name is Christine Holder, and it's my honor and privilege to stand before you 1 last time as president to give you an overview of what we have accomplished so far this year," she said.
Holder said the summit drew middle- and high-school students and credited city staff and community partners for helping the council fundraise and carry out events. She thanked Mayor Black, Officer Boehmer, and other city employees for mentorship and said she will attend Pensacola Christian this fall to study political science and strategic communication.
