District staff announced a public workshop July 28 to discuss the district's proposed rate and fee increase and to answer community questions in an extended format.
Wendy (S6), director of public works, said the workshop will "be from 05:30 to 7" and emphasized the intent to answer questions and explain system development charges and the rate ordinance. Staff noted the third and final reading of the rate ordinance is scheduled at council on Aug. 18, and staff encouraged commissioners and the public to attend the workshop.
The district said it will use the workshop to walk through why the rate adjustments are proposed, outline system-development charges, and allow a longer question-and-answer session than the standard three-minute public-comment period.
