The council approved two community-development items at the Jan. 14 meeting. Owen Pierce received approval to carry out an Eagle Scout project to renovate the stairway at the Eleventh Crow Wing Lake public access, including adding handrails, pressure-washing steps and placing a sign at the top acknowledging the project; the council motion was seconded and passed.
Separately, the council approved a parcel split to divide lot five on block three (parcel number 29.37.41000) into separate lots six, seven and eight. The motion to approve the split was made by Brian Hitchcock and seconded by Bobbie Wosika; the minutes record that Dan Riggs abstained from that vote. No additional conditions, new lot dimensions or permit details were recorded in the minutes.
