The council approved several routine administrative and procurement items during the July 21 meeting.
Resolutions approved included Resolution 26‑31, registering Island Tobacco’s state low‑potency hemp license; Resolution 26‑32, approving an intoxicating liquor license for Mama Sully’s (pending insurance certificate); and Resolution 26‑33, approving a tobacco license for Gas & Go after sheriff’s compliance checks. The council also approved Resolution 26‑34 to update Citibank account signatories following the mayoral appointment.
On public‑works procurement, staff recommended and council approved a low quote for 2026 street maintenance (mill and overlay) from Elkor Construction at about $158,005 to keep the work under the $175,000 threshold for formal bidding. The council also authorized replacing wastewater treatment plant garage doors (low quote of $10,810 from Quality Overhead Door) and approved two additional stop signs near Collins Park and a T‑intersection to improve safety.
