County traffic‑safety team reports 25 fatalities so far this year; Operation Safe Drive targets aggressive drivers

Pooley said FDOT and county agencies use crash history to engineer safety changes on both state and local roads and urged continued public awareness. The council asked Pooley to raise a local streetlight outage issue near Pearson Elementary at the next CTS meeting to determine whether DOT, the school district or the utility is responsible for repairs.
