Chief Pernice presented a civil service certified list with two candidates and asked permission to proceed with background checks and to hire two part-time officers; Council approved completing background checks for two part-time officers from the certified list. After executive session to discuss personnel and contracts, Council approved a police contract for Zackery Shelly (motion by Councilor Steadman, seconded by Councilor Kerns).
