Manager Cindy Wells and Councilor Brian Osborn met with Municipal Benefit Services about employee health insurance rates and reported that new rate information would arrive Oct. 15. Wells provided an estimate that switching from Benecon to MBS could save roughly $13,730 annually but that termination and run-out costs would apply.
Councilor Brian Osborn moved and Councilor Steadman seconded a motion to change health insurance providers for 2025 if estimated termination costs would not exceed $42,000. The minutes note Councilors Riley Cross and James Kerns abstained from voting; the motion was recorded as carried.
