Junior high and high school leaders emphasize culture, data use and plans to expand CTE

The district’s secondary administrative team presented a vision aimed at building a professional culture and using data to close proficiency gaps. Principal Jami Fluke described how data dashboards and assessment tools identified critical reading and math gaps and led to embedded intervention classes such as Read 180 for reading and an IXL math intervention.
High school Principal Robin VanBuren and Assistant Principal Nicole Long highlighted plans to expand Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs, create an equitable Expanded Options system for college and career readiness, and formalize approaches to open periods and stacked classes so students can access higher-level courses in a small-school model. The presentation framed the work with aspirational language — including the leadership team’s summary that “Culture + Data = Student Success” — and board members commended the unified approach. No policy votes were taken at the session.
