During council reports on Sept. 10, Councilor Greg Sheppard said he submitted a grant application for upgrades on 2nd and 3rd Streets and asked the council to allow use of alternate funds to repaint badly worn crosswalks.
Sheppard also said two very tall trees need attention, that striping and installation of five speed bumps are planned weather permitting, and that additional signage remains to be installed. He characterized crosswalk repainting as a public-safety issue.
