Detroit council adopts downtown envisioning plan

The Detroit City Council voted on Sept. 10 to adopt the downtown envisioning plan presented by the city's consultant, Councilor Denny Nielsen said.
Nielsen moved to adopt the envisioning plan as presented; Eric Page seconded the motion and the council approved it. Nielsen said the planning commission will review updated development code for the business core at the end of the month, after which the commission will forward a recommendation to the council for acceptance or amendment.
