Town Manager Stephen Lawson gave a detailed status update on the town's new Skate Park: asphalt will be added to the bike section next week, the picnic‑shelter pad will be poured the following day, concrete for new obstacles is due in about two weeks, parking-lot asphalt is expected in the last week of April, and the picnic shelter installation is scheduled for the first week of May. Staff set a tentative Grand Opening date of Saturday, May 16.
Mayor Gary Johnson praised the amenity, saying the Skate Park is "a wonderful addition." The update included operational details (lighting repairs at the pickleball courts separate from skate-park work) and gave council a schedule to prepare for the opening and any supporting services.
