New lockdown/notification system worked in drill, trustees say

"Everybody that I talked to heard it, and it just repeats itself over and over and over until you go back and hit stop," a trustee said, describing the drill. Administrators added the system lets any authorized staff initiate a lockdown remotely and that notification flows to administrators and IT, which helps coordinate follow-up.
Trustees called the experience "a little eerie" because the recorded voice is unfamiliar, but they affirmed that staff understood the drill and that the system functioned as intended. No further action was taken other than continued training and testing.
