Elgin SD 23 board unanimously approves two staff resignations

The Elgin School District 23 Board of Directors unanimously approved the resignations of junior-high wrestling coach AJ Plummer and paraprofessional Cheryl Dawson during its Aug. 19, 2024 meeting. The motion to approve the resignations was made by board member Kit Evans and seconded by board member Ellie Fincher; the motion carried unanimously.
Administrators also noted that Karla Head will forward a resignation letter from High School/Junior High science teacher Lynique Oveson for processing. The board took the approvals as part of Action Item 6.1 and did not record any abstentions; five members were present for the vote.
