The council reviewed draft minutes of the Jan. 6 Council Workshop and the Jan. 13 Regular Council meeting and recorded no substantive edits in the workshop minutes.
Councilwoman Crystal Lyke read recommendations from the Public Safety Committee meeting held Jan. 28. Councilman Kent Gilley and Planning Administrator Matthew Bright noted the Planning Commission had met Jan. 29 and was awaiting a site plan for the McNutt property and had asked for an elevation mockup. Councilman Adam Harris marked that WJHL had visited Town Hall and produced a segment about the Bland School, and wished residents a "Happy Black History Month." Councilman W. Turk Hollinger urged staff to obtain documents from the building official. Vice-Mayor Kent Gilley thanked attendees and adjourned the workshop at 7:28 p.m.
