Town Manager Stephen Lawson told council that Public Works crews have been pushing snow for the prior ten days, operating 12-plus hour shifts and following a prioritized route that begins on Dogwood, then Hospital Hill, emergency routes and high-traffic areas.
Lawson said the town had 75 tons of salt on hand and had used roughly 40 tons; "another load has been ordered," he said. He also reported a main line leak in Back Valley that was repaired after crews completed a previous leak repair in front of the old Pizza Hut building. The town noted it has four trucks for snow operations and that limited equipment can delay route completion during extended storms.
