Impact-fees hearing continued to Aug. 27; staff to finish parks methodology

The Planning Commission voted to continue the public hearing on proposed municipal-code amendments related to impact fees until Aug. 27 so staff could complete the methodology for parks and finalize the draft language.
Lisa told commissioners she had focused on completing the comprehensive-plan rewrite and had not finished the impact-fees wording. "This will also give us another month to work on the methodology, for parks," she said, and asked that the hearing be continued to provide time for thorough review. The commission approved the continuation by voice vote (four ayes).
Commissioners were reminded that impact fees are part of municipal code and that the city currently has 16 impact fees entitled in the code; staff will return with completed methodology and final language at the continued hearing.
