The board approved an overnight FFA field trip to Camp Elkanah scheduled for Oct. 13–14 and granted a surplus-property request related to the 2020 Dodge Ram pickup bed. The surplus request, submitted by Agricultural Science & Technology Instructor Daniel Bolen, would use proceeds from the surplused pickup bed along with Fox Foundation funds to reimburse the FFA student body account for purchase of a Bradford flatbed and to help fund a post-hole auger attachment for the school's skid steer.
Daniel Bolen told administrators the Oregon Department of Education Pupil Transportation office authorized replacing the pickup bed with a flatbed to better support Construction and Agriculture programs. Ellie made the motion to approve the action items; Khirenda seconded and the motion carried.
