A board member reported the district had one classified assistant resign and subsequently rehired two former employees to fill gaps in staffing. “We have brought, we did have one classified assistant resign. And so Michelle Mack and Amy Campbell are back on,” the board member said, adding the rehires were intended to provide consistency for students.
The speaker noted another staff member is intermittently out for health reasons and that rehiring former employees has happened several times over the last two years. Board members responded with sympathy for personal circumstances and acknowledged that staff turnover can be influenced by benefits and insurance concerns.
